No more drama...

I was talking to a gf today and she mentioned that she had been going to these meetings under an organization called "Landmark." Out of curiosity, she made it to one of these cult-like meetings and said that she learned so much about herself. So apparently, in these classes they teach you about the search for truth.
She said that in life, we usually create drama for ourselves - unnecessary drama because we want to make sense of things the best way we know how - we create versions of stories that justify what we feel, how hurt we are, how confused we are. It's a search - a quest - for the truth and what is real. We create drama in our lives to make it more exciting, so that we're not always so bored of what is happening everyday.
Once you realize that all this unnecessary drama exists, you can take the steps to change your behaviour.
I argued that it's hard to stop "creating drama" because it's human nature to want to change things, to want to explain the unexplainable in our lives. This is why we have emotions and are not bombarded by only our logical senses.
So anywho.. she says that we just need to change the way we see things. People are not hurting you on purpose, they are merely trying to do what they think is best... and it never hurts to try your best even if your intentions run askew. It is not our job to try to understand everything.. it is our job to find the truth and focus on that instead of what we have created inside our heads.
